Network Infrastructure Design & Implementation for Regional Denominational Office
Challenge: The regional office for a major religious denomination in the United States was moving into a new office. The new office would be new construction and required network, communications and video design and implementation from the ground up. The office included 6 offices, reception area, large conference room and various work rooms/storage areas.
Solution: CorData worked with the representatives of this regional office as well as all the building contractors involved to design and implement a network infrastructure including Cisco switches and routers, 7900 series Unified Communication phones, LCD screens in offices and conference rooms, integrated computer network with security, Microsoft file server and video conferencing capabilities. Through our partnership with Cisco and WebEx, we were able to provide enterprise level solutions to this organization at an affordable investment.
Financial Planning Software & Database Integration for National Investment Advisory Firm.
Challenge: A nationally-recognized Investment Advisory firm needed to upgrade their financial planning process and toolkit. Not finding an acceptable solution in the marketplace, they turned to CorData to integrate their Excel-based planning system with their databases, allowing for CRM integration and scenario-based planning.
Solution: CorData worked with the client to develop a complete financial planning package, managing all plans developed at the firm. Our role in the project is to manage communications between the Excel front-end and the MS SQL Server database where each plan - consisting of hundreds of rows across dozens of worksheets. The technology developed by CorData enables each advisor to run multiple what-ifs per client plan, completely revolutionizing the planning process.
Complex PDF Forms Interaction for Dot-com Startup.
Challenge: EZMilestone needed a platform for delivering their industry-leading implementation processes to client organization nationwide.
Solution: CorData assisted ezMilestone, a startup in 2000, in developing its Version 1.0 product line. The product was designed around an industry-accepted paper workflow, and ezMilestone successfully captured the process electronically using PDF to produce high-fidelity facsimiles of paper documents. We brought life to these documents by enabling them to hold form data, then tying those forms to the server's database for both PDF input and output.
Mutual Fund Management Platform for National Investment Advisory Firm.
Challenge: With the goal of increasing their trading throughput from dozens to several hundred daily, a national investment advisor turned to CorData to bring workflow, CRM integration and partner integration into a single platform for trading.
Solution: This project for Ronald Blue & Company managed mutual fund management, rebalances, and trade workflow for several years, replacing a failed project by another Atlanta software development vendor. The original, failed project, which ran nearly $250k before finally failing was based on an early version of MS Sharepoint. CorData's successful version of this project was based on MS ASP 2.0 with SQL Server as the storage system. This system successfully processed many billions of dollars in trades over the course of its lifespan.
Document Management System for National Concrete Formwork Contractor.
Challenge: Spending thousands monthly on overnight delivery fees and even more in interest fees due to lost invoices, a major concrete formwork company based in Atlanta looked to CorData to provide an Internet-based tool to deliver, track and manage invoices across nationally-dispersed regional offices.
Solution: This project managed the storage, presentation and required workflow for invoice documents for a company passing invoices and other documents throughout the company. As inbound invoices scan into the system, the PDF is made ready for indexing and storage by individual accounting personnel. Upon indexing, project managers throughout the firm are alerted of invoices to be reviewed and approved. The workflow continues with documents routing back to AP for payment, and the document image with records is archived for reference and retrieval.
